Just a quick note to thank you very much for your excellent customer service and communication. As you know I had looked at a number of pianos and had conversations with different suppliers and looked at different pianos. During that time I had come to the conclusion that piano sellers were cousins of car salesmen and everything spoken or said had to be taken with a pinch of salt. Imagine someone who doesn’t know that much about pianos and on a limited budget trying to spend, what for me was a considerable amount of money, and being worried about making a mistake.

Buying a second hand piano is never easy and everyone thought I was mad buying over the internet sight and sound unseen. However your friendliness, willingness to answer long lists of questions and send photos took all the stress out of buying a second hand piano. I was very impressed with the vast choice and price range of Yamaha upright pianos at Harry’s shop. They were quite happy to leave me playing away to my heart’s content for a good few hours before I made a selection. I planned to come back at a later date to try the chosen piano again but was assured that I could take it home to do this. If I wasn’t happy with it, they would simply change it for me.

Delivery was arranged quickly at a time to suit me (specially delivered on a Saturday) and they even transported my old piano to my school for a very reasonable price. Seven years ago I purchased a NEW Yamaha U3S from Music Box and was very pleased with its quality of tone. Two weeks ago I discovered the music rest would no longer stay up, meaning the lid could not be closed. I contacted Harry Zammit at Music Box and explained the problem. Not only did he correctly diagnose the cause (a slightly worn holding pin on the right hinge), but sent me a new hinge, free of all charge, within one week. The hinge was very simple to replace taking just two minutes.

I cannot recommend Harry and Music Box enough. I came across his website when doing a search for the piano I wanted, and was in two minds whether I would be able to afford my dream piano, the Yamaha GB1 SG2, as prices from other dealers were thousands more. Not only did I get this wonderful piano for an affordable price but Harry was very kind in giving me a piano stool of my choice for free. The best bit was that after a week of ordering my piano, and bearing in mind that in December it is incredibly busy, my piano was delivered at a time which was suitable for me. The guys who unloaded and installed my piano were very efficient and careful.

They even put down sheets so my cream carpets wouldn’t get marked.

I urge anyone who is looking for a Yamaha piano to go through Harry or his son, they were extremely helpful and pleasant throughout the whole process. I will definitely be dealing with them again in the future.

Vera had been planning for ages to replace her existing 1880’s Bechstein grand after 20+ years.

Overall speedy, smooth and very pleasing. Phoned Thursday am, visited Music Box to view several perhaps suitable pianos later in the day. Impressed with range, variety and quality of stock and Harry’s approach and knowledge of the various individual attributes and the latest significant Yamaha improvements. Given unhurried freedom to try out pianos of choice. By mid afternoon had chosen a brand new Yamaha C3X grand, in the showroom for only 2 days, had agreed price including part exchange and discount and a generous package of extras.

Delivery and installation took place efficiently next day as planned. Free fine tuning to take place when piano has settled into house, together with impressive after sales service.

I have shopped around and found Music Box to be the most competitive on price wise on purchasing my Yamaha Disklavier Piano.

The best person to deal direct with is the owner Harry. I found dealing with the owner a pleasant experience.

He even offered to arrange transport and tuning and fitting to Spain which I was very impressed with that , not many other dealers could offer me.

People often say you get what you pay for, but buying a piano from Harry (and his son) at Musicbox questions that saying! – you can get a brilliant piano, top quality service and a low price. From what must be the cheapest supplier in the country, the service and piano (a brilliant Yamaha P121 Silent) has been fantastic – and it’s been great to buy it from a such helpful and friendly (northern) guy. The delivery team used were also very impressive – coming round to measure up beforehand then struggling for almost 2 hours in getting the piano up through some very tight turns. Highly recommended all round.
